Great News! AALIM is proud to present FALL EQUINOX seris of "Mini" workshops; 8 workshops; 8 teachers; each workshop only $20; September 24th and 25th; more info to follow.

So many events scheduled already - it is going to be a busy year -St. Baldricks's,  RokNRolla and Spring Equinox workshops in March, Spring Showcase and  OSU-OKC Arts Festival  in April and OKC Arts Festival coming up... classes are full and we added two new classes his summer session, so there are now 20+ classes per week.  If you like Egyptian cabaret bellydance, Tribal Fusion, Turkish Gypsy Rom, Island Fusion (Hula/Tahitian) there is a class for you.  There are also classes for your daughters, nieces, ages 5-11 - our Sparkles classes.  Whatever type of dance you like, check out our schedule.  We are the largest non-profit bellydance company in the State/Country; with accredited teachers who have performed, studied and  trained for many years!

Please join us and celebrate the Holiday Season with the AALIM Princesses.  There will be regular Club apperances throughout the Christmas and New Year's weekends.  There could be some time changes for the Arabian Nights shows, so please check the Future Performances tabs for updates.

Zorba's Mediterranean Cuisine will be hosting thier New Year's Eve Celebration on Friday, December 31, 2010, with continuous entertainment from 9pm until Midnight!   Great entertainment with Belly Dancing and Flamenco Dancing.

Updated information regarding all Club and Restaurant celebrations will be added as soon as it is confirmed.  So keep checking back with us! 

Happy Holiday Season to all!

Countdown to the end of the year........the Princesses performed at the Peace Festival last Sunday (their last Festival of year) making a total of  22 "community events" in 2010; as well as our two Showcases.   Not finished yet, though, we have more events to finish out the year, December 4th will be the studio Christmas Party, and there will be special Holiday performances at various locations during the Christmas and New Year Festivities.

In looking forward to Thanksgiving and the Holiday Season, I want to take this moment to  wish everyone the very best of health and happiness, be safe while travelling, and enjoy your time with family and friends. 

As a reminder, the studio will be closed on Wednesday (November 24th) and Thursday (T-Day); and looking into December, the studio will be closed the week between Christmas and New Years.

It has been a great year at AALIM, and I know 2011 will be even better!

AALIM Bellydance Academy proudly presents its 2010 Fall Showcase on October 9, 2010 at the Harding School of Fine Arts (3333 North Shartel).  Doors open 7:00 pm - Showcase starts 7:30 pm.  Tickets go on sale on September 1, 2010 and can be purchased at the studio, online via this website, or from studio members.  Adults and children $10.00.

In addition to performances by members of the AALIM Bellydance Academy, there will be dance presentations by guests from Tulsa, guests from the Dance Program at Harding School of Fine Arts, and guests from Clips n Hips.

We are looking forward to a wonderful Showcase and hope to see you there.

A new venue has been added to our weekend selection of "Arabian Nights" bellydance shows;  Back by popular demand, Ayperi Al Jawahir can now be seen every Friday at SHOOKAH LOUNGE (inside SINBAD on NW Expressway) from 10 to 11 pm in the signature, orignal and only "Arabian Nights" bellydance show.  Enjoy a meal in Sinbad, then relax in Shookah Lounge and enjoy Bellydancing at its Finest!!!!!

AALIM is proud to announce the first of three workshops scheduled for 2010.  Mark your Calendar for The Spring

Equinox Workshop on March 20, 2010; the Summer Solstice Workshop on June 19, 2010 and the Fall Equinox Workshop in September.

The Workshops will be held at AALIM Internationale at 23rd and Meridian in Oklahoma City, and numbers will be limited.

FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, THE WORKSHOPS WILL BE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

NEW CLASS...... by popular demand for weekend classes - AALIM is now offering INTRODUCTORY classes on SUNDAYS AT 3 P.M.  If our current Introductory Classes (Mondays and Thursdays at 6:30) do not fit your schedule - this weekend class might be just what you want!

Expansion:

Club Albee (Bricktown) - AALIM Princesses can now be seen Saturdays 11 pm to midnight AND will be giving FREE Bellydance lessons on Sundays 9-10 ending with bellydance show.

Moe's Hookah Lounge/Norman - AALIM Princesses can be see both Friday and Saturday nights from 9-11 pm.
